Traditionally, in Morocco, straw baskets are used to keep pastries from drying out. Our smaller baskets are perhaps more suited for decoration but you can really fit bread and pastries inside this one! We should also mention that, unlike most of our Berber baskets, this one is not decorated with wool. The pattern it sports was created using dyed straw.
